Online Faxing, the Contemporary Alternative

Modern-day online faxing renders traditional faxing obsolete in terms of technological advancement, but not in use. Try to check on your local schools, businesses, companies, and enterprises, and you will see that a significant number of them still use fax machines to send and receive relevant data. Unfamiliar to the ways of faxing over the Internet, they are wasting time and money.

A friend of mine had been working for a health care firm for the past four years. When I still worked from an office not far away from his 2 years ago, I frequently dropped by at his office during lunch hours, hoping we could hang out just like in college. But soon as I would get to his office, more than often, he was jam-packed with documents he had to send with a fax machine.

To forward fax back then, he had to individually feed each page and check if each goes through. I understood quite well how frustrating fax machines must have been. To top it off, he had to receive faxes too. Since traditional fax machines send and receive fax via a telephone line, this means that he couldn’t do both tasks at one given time.

Weeks ago, I unexpectedly dropped by at his office while on my way home. I was surprised to see that their fax machine was gone. He now uses an electronic fax software. He also told me how internet faxing had reduced their company’s expenses on paper and ink, and how more efficient he has become – no longer stuck on a fax machine to monitor the feeding of pages. He added how easy internet fax was too compared to their now-junked fax machine.

It is apparent that the internet fax service is a great way to send and receive fax compared to traditional faxing. It doesn’t waste the money of a company on ink and paper, and it does not render employees inefficient.
